When trying to quit a habit like smoking or other addictions, is it better to slowly wean off of it or go cold turkey and stop completely and let go?

Addiction to anything is bad. It tells us that we are weaker than the object we are addicted to, whether it is a bad habit like smoking, a food item like sugar, or anything else like listening to music. When trying to give up a bad habit or addiction, ask Allah first to help you and constantly make dua. Depending on your habit, seek help. You may need to replace it with something else that is positive. The day you decide you should make the change, realize that the change should be done ‘now’ and ‘immediately’. There is no tomorrow where change is concerned. This concludes that cold turkey is better. Replacing the habit with something good or finding something to fill your time is also a great way to overcome your addiction.
