MAX Student Scholarships Applications Deadline – March 31, 2017
MAX (Muslim Awards for Excellence) is gearing up for the second time to recognize and honour exemplary Muslims in Canada. At a time when the Muslim community is under heavy scrutiny, it is more important then ever to highlight the incredible work being carried out by members of our community who come from every walk of life. This is the main ethos of MAX: to celebrate the excellence of Canadian Muslims and thus strengthen and elevate the community.
MAX is led by young and pioneering minds, and is fortunate to have the support and backing of pillars of the community. This year, the MAX Gala will be taking place on October 14, 2017 at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall. Similar to last year, we will be giving away a variety of awards for professionals, including amongst others, Platinum Awards for Excellence, Woman of the Year, and Business Leader of the Year.
However, MAX doesn’t only celebrate those who have established themselves as leaders and innovators in their respective fields. We want to support people like you – young people who are starting out on your own journeys – and propel the story of your success. MAX is dedicated to supporting young Muslims. This year, we are offering fifteen scholarships, each between $2,500 and $10,000, for driven, well-rounded secondary and post-secondary Canadian Muslim students. If you are a student who excels in academics and contributes to your community, please visit www.maxgala.com/scholarships to apply for a MAX scholarship. The deadline is March 31, 2017.
MAX’s goal is to recognize and honour the achievements and excellence of Muslim students and professionals alike, across Canada. We had an incredible start last year at our inaugural awards gala, with some of the best and brightest Muslim trailblazers in Canada gathered together in one room. At a time where Muslims have been vilified by world leaders, institutions, and the media, we want to stand up for the remarkable work being done in our community. And the only way that MAX can do that is by supporting YOU. By bringing professionals and students together and celebrating each others’ diligence and success, we can inspire, learn and grow as a community.
