I always end up wasting my summer sitting at home watching TV. What’s something productive I can do over my summer break?
The very first step you need to take in order to be productive is to make a plan for yourself. Make a list of things you want to accomplish in the summer and put it up on your room, somewhere where you can see it every day.
A great way to stay busy and give back to your community is to join an organization that is doing something to make the community and country better. It should be something you like doing and you can dedicate yourself to, whether it be working in a soup kitchen or volunteering at an art camp or refereeing kids’ soccer games.
Once that is covered, get your family time in – a time of day when everyone is home. Give everyone in the family a day in which they get a chance to choose something that the rest of the family has to do. Someone might want to watch a movie, or go bowling – it gives you a variety of things to do with your family.
